Community & Submission Guidelines
Effective: January 2026
These guidelines apply to all user-submitted content, trip reports, creator applications, creator submissions, directory listings, contact form submissions, and any other contributions to this site. These guidelines cover both Track 1 (Share Your Trip) and Track 2 (Creator Program) submissions.
What We Welcome
- Helpful, accurate, community-focused content
- Genuine trip reports and personal travel experiences
- Genuine creator profiles and service listings
- Constructive questions, feedback, and suggestions
- Content that respects the privacy and dignity of community members
Submission Standards
- Submissions must describe real personal experiences or clearly identified creator content
- Do not submit copied, fabricated, misleading, or AI-invented trip reports
- Do not submit content you do not have the right to share
- By submitting, you confirm you have the right to share the text and any media included
- Contributors must disclose any material connection to businesses, brands, lodging providers, tour providers, or products mentioned — FTC guidance requires disclosure of material connections in endorsements
Prohibited Content
The following is strictly prohibited and will be removed:
- OPSEC-sensitive information (troop movements, deployment schedules, unit timelines, security procedures not publicly available)
- Harassment, threats, or intimidation directed at any individual or group
- Hate speech or discrimination based on race, religion, nationality, gender, sexual orientation, or similar characteristics
- Doxxing or sharing personal information without consent
- Defamatory statements
- Content that infringes copyright or other intellectual property rights
- Spam, unsolicited promotions, or deceptive marketing
- Misleading claims about military or government matters
- Content illegal under applicable law
- Content that exploits, harms, or endangers minors
Moderation
All user-submitted content is reviewed before publication. We do not auto-publish any user content. We reserve the right to edit, refuse, remove, or suspend any content or contributor at our sole discretion.
Submission Does Not Guarantee Publication
Submitting content does not guarantee it will be published. We review all submissions for quality, relevance, accuracy, compliance, and fit with our editorial standards.
OPSEC Note
Ramstein Travel takes OPSEC very seriously. Content that could endanger servicemembers, their families, or operational security will be removed immediately and may be reported to appropriate authorities. When in doubt, leave it out.
Creator Disclosure Requirement
If you received free products, discounted services, hosted stays, affiliate compensation, sponsorship, or any other benefit related to your content, you must disclose that connection clearly in your submission. This is required under FTC guidelines on endorsements and testimonials.
